| Strong Women are Better
Athletes One in ten female NCAA
athletes suffer a serious knee injury each year. That is almost two soccer players
per team. Devastating? Yes. Preventable? In most cases. But
what if doing exercises to prevent this common injury actually made you a better player,
too? Well, it does. Strengthening certain muscles and learning correct body
mechanics can reduce the likelihood of tearing the Anterior Cruciate Ligament up to
85%. Here at Strong Women are Better Athletes, we want female athletes to be
stronger, faster and quicker. We don't want female athletes to continue suffering
the painful and difficult recovery of an ACL injury.
Goals
*To improve women's performance in
their individual sports
*To motivate women to take responsibility for their athletic performance
*To raise awareness about ACL injuries and injury prevention |
